Terms of use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Welcome to WINEWORK. These terms govern the use of wineworkgp.com, the WINEWORK learning platform and the WINEPAGER wine-page repository, including the free panel for restaurant managers and the menu check. Using them means you accept the terms. If you do so on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it. Wineries and importers given access to the supplier portal are bound by the supplier terms they accept in the portal.
1. Who we are
WINEWORK is a company registered in Denmark, company number DK45753166, Copenhagen. Contact: support@wineworkgp.com.
2. The service
WINEWORK provides a professional wine-learning platform for restaurants, hotels and groups: video courses, summaries, quizzes, certificates, monthly trainings and manager reports. The service is sold to businesses by subscription, according to the package chosen, and runs for the business's team.
We improve the service continuously and may add, change or remove content and features. A change that materially reduces what was purchased entitles the customer to advance notice and the option to end the subscription.
WINEPAGER is a WINEWORK brand, not a separate company. Under it WINEWORK runs a repository of wine pages for hospitality professionals, a free panel for restaurant managers who upload their wine menu, and a portal for wineries and importers. The repository is closed and not open to the public.
3. Accounts and seats
A business that buys a subscription receives an organisation account and a number of seats (users) according to its package. The account manager is responsible for adding and removing users, keeping sign-in details confidential, and making sure use complies with these terms.
Every user is responsible for what is done from their account. If you become aware of unauthorised use, tell us immediately.
Sign-in is by email and password or by a sign-in link. There is no sign-in through social networks.
4. Permitted use
The platform's content is for the learning of the team of the business that bought the subscription. You may not copy, record, download, distribute, sell, publicly display or pass the content to anyone who is not an authorised user, in any form or by any means, without WINEWORK's written consent.
You may not attempt to circumvent protection mechanisms, disrupt the system, access other people's accounts or data, or use the service unlawfully.
A breach of this section may lead to suspension of access, termination of the subscription and legal action.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the site and the platform, including videos, texts, summaries, questions, designs, illustrations, the character "Haim", the logo and the WINEWORK name, belongs to WINEWORK or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
The subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for internal learning within the business for the subscription term. The licence ends when the subscription ends.
A wine menu a business uploads to the system, and the texts in it, remain the business's property. What WINEWORK may do with it, and what it undertakes not to do, is set out in section 6. The wine pages built from the menu are WINEWORK content under this section, not the business's menu.
6. Menus and restaurant data: our commitment and our permitted use
A business can upload its wine menu to the system, as a file or as lines, during purchase, from the panel, or through the WINEPAGER menu check. The file remains the business's property. By uploading, the business confirms that it has the right to provide it, and grants WINEWORK a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to store the file, read it, extract from it the list of wines, vintages, prices, headings and menu order (the "menu data"), and use them as set out in this section. As to the law: a list of wines and prices is factual data, not protected by copyright (section 5 of the Israeli Copyright Act, 5768-2007), not a trade secret (Commercial Torts Law, 5759-1999), since the business shows it to every guest and must display its prices under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and not personal data under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, or the GDPR. WINEWORK nevertheless treats it as the business's data, and the commitments in this section are limits it takes on beyond what the law requires.
Our commitment to every restaurant: WINEWORK will not publish or pass to anyone the menu of a specific business, its prices, the changes to it, what it sends to its team, or any other data that can be attributed to a specific business, except to the business itself and the users it has authorised, or where the law requires it. Wineries and importers see at most in how many menus in the system a product of theirs appears, without the business's name, its prices or any other detail about it. The name, email and contact details of the person who uploaded the menu are personal data: they are handled under the privacy policy and are never part of any data passed outside.
Alongside that commitment, WINEWORK may use the menu data and the system usage data of all businesses in aggregated and anonymised form, that is, in a way that does not identify a specific business and does not allow a data point to be attributed to a specific business with reasonable effort, for any purpose and in any form it chooses, including commercial purposes: building and enriching wine pages, research, market measures and trends (for example which wines are common on menus, price ranges by wine type or region, what is poured by the glass), publications, new services and products, and providing or selling such aggregated data and insights to third parties, including wineries and importers. An aggregated figure is shown or provided only when it rests on several different businesses, never on a single one. Such aggregated, anonymised data is not personal data under the Protection of Privacy Law or the GDPR, and is not data about an identified business. This use does not depend on the subscription term and continues after it ends.
Nothing in this section limits the business in using its own menu and data in any way. The business can download the file it uploaded, replace it or remove it at any time. Removing the menu, closing the account or ending the subscription deletes the file and the business's individual menu data within the periods set out in the privacy policy. The wine pages built and the aggregated, anonymised data already produced remain with WINEWORK, since they cannot be attributed to the business.
WINEWORK also reads wine menus that restaurants publish themselves, on the restaurant's website, in ordering apps and on social networks, to build wine pages and measure the market. The commitment in this section applies to such a restaurant too, even if it is not a customer: it is not identified, its prices are not passed on individually, and the menu itself, its design and wording, is not republished. A restaurant that asks us not to read its menu writes to support@wineworkgp.com, and we comply.
7. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Prices are shown on the pricing page and in the quote, in Israeli shekels, and they are the final amount payable: no VAT is added to them, and no VAT line appears on the invoice. Payment is made through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe only and are never stored by WINEWORK.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from the account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no refund is given for a period already paid, unless agreed otherwise with the customer.
If a payment fails, the business is given a reasonable time to settle it before access is suspended. Special deals (enterprise licences) are governed by a separate agreement, which prevails over this section in case of conflict.
8. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available at all hours but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There may be interruptions for maintenance, provider outages or circumstances beyond our control. We announce planned maintenance in advance where possible.
The content is provided as general professional knowledge about wine and is not legal, health or financial advice. Applying it in the restaurant is the business's responsibility.
Subject to applicable law, WINEWORK's total liability to a customer for any damage arising from the service is limited to the amount the customer paid in the twelve months preceding the event. WINEWORK is not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit or loss of data, unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
9. Privacy
Personal data is handled according to our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. When a business adds its team to the platform, it is responsible for informing its employees and for having a lawful basis to share their data.
Data about the business itself, such as its wine menu, its prices and its use of the panel, is not personal data; its handling is governed by section 6.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in case of a material breach of these terms, non-payment, or a legal requirement, after notice where reasonable.
After the subscription ends, access to the content closes. Certificates already issued remain valid. Account data is kept for the period stated in the privacy policy and then deleted. The wine pages and the aggregated, anonymised data remain, under section 6.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Danish law. The courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute concerning them, subject to mandatory provisions of the law of the customer's country. Before going to court we would rather resolve any disagreement in a direct conversation.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with its date, and a material change will be communicated to customers by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
